The Pink Ribbon is an international symbol of cancer awareness. Cancerfonden in Sweden has a campaign about breast cancer named Rosa Bandet, which translates to the Pink Ribbon. Cancerfonden or the Swedish Cancer Society’s goal with the Rosa Bandet campaign is to fight breast cancer by funding cancer research, disseminating knowledge about the disease, and driving public opinion. The images I have photographed are part of the campaign “Swisha för mamma” or “Swish for mother,” which is aimed to raise money through Swish, a mobile payment system in Sweden.
